Lifestyle Blogger and Traveler- Ada

Armed with her Canon (camera), Adaleta or Ada (add-ugh) on a day to day basis, is a keen blogger delving into the worlds of beauty, travel and lifestyle. With her journey online beginning as part of a 2013 senior college project that snowballed with her passion to the present day which sees 100,000 readers showing their appreciation. Her writing is honest, interesting and gives a glimpse into the life of an international traveller. This is what she had to say:

  1. Why did you decide to start travelling the world and writing about it?

My daytime job is within the tourism space, and my job duties include travelling to see & visit my clients. It’s a rough life, but someone’s got to do it! 😉

  1. Did you have anybody telling you this path was a bad idea? How did you overcome that?

No one has ever told me that travelling the world is a bad idea, and if they did, I would simply ignore them. Travel is one of the most enriching experiences we can have.

  1. Did you ever think it was too big a challenge for you?

Occasionally you get so tired from travelling when you’re going overseas, but it’s nothing in comparison to exploring new places and new cultures.

  1. Have you met anybody that has given your adventures direction?

Not necessarily. I’m still looking for that one insightful person I meet on a trip in a new country, that changes my perspective on travel with their wisdom.

  1. What was your first big travelling adventure like as you were getting on the plane heading into the unknown?

One of the biggest unknown adventures was travelling to Norway in the dead of winter back in 2015. I am not a winter sports type of person, and I don’t do well on skis, so I was nervous to a) be in the cold and b) be the only one not skiing or snowboarding. However the country was absolutely breath-taking and amazing, and even in the winter, there was so much to do. This unknown trip came to be my favourite country to travel to.

  1. What’s been your favourite location to date and why?

In the United States, my favourite city to visit is hands down Boston. When it comes to international, Norway is my all time favourite country but I have much more to cross off the list!

  1. What’s the biggest reward you get from travelling?

I love meeting new people and hearing their stories. Learning what other people love & why is one of the fascinating things, especially when travelling across cultures.

  1. If you could give anybody three pieces of advice looking to get into travelling what would they be?

Guard your passport responsibly when travelling. Pack light & do some shopping in the new destination (you always have an excuse to shop!) and the quote “do as the Romans do” could not be better suited for travel. Try that unique dish or drink in a new place. It could sound odd and it could even taste terrible, but you won’t know until you try it. Plus it could become your new favourite thing or a great story to tell others!

  1. Finally, what’s next on your Bucket List?

I want to explore so much more of Europe, preferably city by city over a year or so timespan. It’s one of my dreams to be able to fly to Paris for the weekend, then Rome, then London, etc. I would also love to go to the Maldives. They’ve done such a great job marketing themselves the past few years, and it’s definitely peaked my interest.

And, that’s a wrap, that’s what Ada had to say about her travels. If you’re interested in reading or checking in on what she’s been up to and where she’s been head over to her blog:, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest and Facebook.
